Privacy policy
This policy explains what Financial Modeling .net collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. Contact hello@financialmodeling.net with any question or request.
What is collected
- Enquiry form: name, email, company, stage, need, deadline, budget range, your message and any file you attach.
- Lead magnet: the email address you enter to receive the Investor-Ready Model Checklist.
- Analytics: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location and device type.
- Advertising measurement (Google Ads): Google receives ad-click identifiers, pages visited and whether a call was booked, used to measure and optimise our Google Ads campaigns.
- Booking: if you book a call, the scheduling provider collects the details you give it under its own privacy policy.
What the free tools collect
Nothing. The DCF calculator, runway calculator and model health check run entirely in your browser. No figure you type into them is transmitted, logged or stored, and nothing persists once you close the tab. The only exception is the optional email field for the PDF report, which is handled as a lead-magnet submission.
Why it is collected
Enquiry data is used to respond to you and to prepare a proposal. Email addresses given for the checklist are used to send that document. Analytics data is used to understand which pages lead to enquiries. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
Necessary cookies keep the site functioning. Analytics and advertising measurement cookies are set by Google as described above. You can clear this site's data in your browser at any time.
How long it is kept
Enquiry records are kept for three years so previous conversations can be picked up. Lead-magnet email addresses are kept until you ask for removal. Analytics data follows the provider's standard retention period.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@financialmodeling.net and it will be actioned within thirty days.
Confidentiality of client material
Models, financial statements and other material shared during an engagement are treated as confidential, held under NDA where one is in place, and never used as an example or case study without written permission.
